Dominic’s lecture is part of our module on Professional Practice, and he manages to make the subject engaging, relevant and current, bringing the real-world to the students, in preparation for their move into industry.
Our students regularly comment that he is really generous with his time, helping them get to grips with the contractors’ viewpoint, and as well as professionally impressive, he’s also just a really nice guy!

During the 10 years plus that I have known Dominic, he has unfailingly and consistently inspired Diploma and BA (Hons) interior design students. In teaching them, he brings his vast professional experience and knowledge to bear, that of working on all types of sites ranging from industrial units and large housing developments to listed buildings and high end residential units. He does so in easily understandable terms as his lectures de-mystify the complicated and multi-facetted aspects of dealing with the wide range of professionals with whom designers work, by taking concepts and turning them into reality whilst also dealing with the practicalities of the construction site.
Dominic is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of his subject, always seeking to pass on his considerable knowledge to those less experienced. Coupled with a marked determination for students to achieve the highest possible standard of knowledge, he is also extremely personable and possesses an infectious sense of humour; no wonder students thoroughly enjoy his lectures. It is a pleasure to work with such a complete professional.
